'Stanislaw Stories' is We Be The Echo's first album. Songs from this record still pop up on Pandora and Last FM a lot.

WE BE THE ECHO - 'Cubist Music' Limited edition CD-R (Chuckbeat Records 2004)
1. I've Got A Hunch We're Not Getting Lunch
2. Dry Or Damp I'm Still The Champ
3. Drain In Flood
4. With Every Brain It Thinks, It Thinks
5. Pac Man
'Cubist Music' was the first recording to be released by We Be The Echo. It is a demo we did in our practice space that we pressed onto cd-r. I'm pretty sure we only did 100 copies of this, so if you were lucky enough to buy one from one of our Cedar warehouse shows or at Edinburgh Castle you'll be sitting on ebay gold....The recording is basic, but 'Drain' and 'Dry Or Damp' (based on a Hong Kong Phooey line) still stand up with our newer stuff. We occasionally bust out 'Drain In Flood' in SF for the old sckool fans!

THE PRESTIDIGITATORS - 'Guitars 211298'
This is a guitar-noise duo I recorded with Michael Gilham on 4-track cassette in 1998. Lots of distortion and feedback imrov. I hadn't heard this in years, but here's a link to Gilham's myspace where it's posted.

VOORHEES - 'Smiling At Death' CD (Grand Theft Audio)
'Smiling At Death' is a compilation CD of the earlier Durham based Voorhees releases. It includes the first demo, the 'Violent' 7", 'Smiling At Death' LP and some extra cover songs.
VOORHEES - 'Spilling Blood Without Reason' LP (Armed With Anger)
A hardcore classic! Who'd have thought.....
Recorded at Studio 64 in Middlesbrough.
Originally 26 songs, later releases had 4 extra songs from the same session.

VOORHEES 'John Peel Session' BBC Radio 1 (Madia Vale Studios)
John Peel had a soft spot for our brand of noise and called us up and asked to do a session. We ended up recording 9 songs (including some Negative Approach covers), and I remember being in the BBC canteen at the same time as Monster Magnet and some weather guy from off tv. Surreal. The ultra high end equipment didn't do us any favours however; Voorhees' brand of violent hardcore needs to sound a little rough around the edges and it ended up losing some balls. It was a good day though, and a decent paycheck for a band as extreme as us.

VOORHEES - Split 7" with STALINGRAD (Caught Offside/Thinking Smart)
Features Newcastle United's Kevin Keegan on the cover and a Crucifucks cover.

Bm RELOCATION PROGRAM - 'Assholes Are Back In Season' Itunes & CD-R (Chuckbeat). 2003
Bm Relocation Program was basically a recording project based out of The John Francis' home studio. Personnel involved were myself, Myke and Ilkka from We Be The Echo along with John Francis and Bert Garibay (who went to play drums in The Last Of The Blacksmiths).
Every Friday night over several months we would turn up at the house and record a jam which would then be overdubbed with extra layers that same night. Eventually we thought we'd release the results so picked what we felt were the strongest songs and they collectively became know as the 'Assholes Are Back In Season' album. Several songs off the record have been used in documentaries (snowboarding/skateboarding and a birth control short!) and 'Superego Exchange' was picked by Creative Commons for a remix competition. There are a few different remixes of the song floating around in e-space....

BREAK IT UP - 'No Sides' LP and CD (Dead & Gone Records) 2004
Another hardcore band I was in with some friends back home, including Sean Readman who was a founding member of Voorhees. We played a lot of gigs around the UK and recorded the album at Studio 64 in Middlesbrough. Pretty straight up later 80's hardcore, not a million miles from bands like Uniform Choice, No For An Answer, Insted and Gorilla Biscuits.
ESSA - 'Aficans In Space' & 'Magneto Essa' (Paper Recordings).
Essa was the recording project of my London flatmate Tim White, and Max Essa. I was asked to supply weird guitar on a couple of tracks; atmospheric space sounds and animal cries on 'Africans In Space (Lightyears From Lauderdale Mix)' and a spazzy guitar solo on 'Funkier Than A Mosquito's Tweeter'. I also briefly played bass in their band Long Distance Runners for a few shows around London.
Essa were regularly played in clubs and the songs I played on were on BBC radio a lot. Anne Nightingale and Giles Peterson especially liked 'Africans In Space (Lightyears From Lauderdale Mix)'.
There is an excerpt here.

Drift Erratics was a project that me and Ilk from We Be The Echo formed to do a West Coast tour in Spring 2006 with our friends Form & Fate. I played acoustic guitar and programmed laptop beats, and Ilk played live drums. Cities we played were:
San Francisco, CA
Grants Pass, OR
Seattle, WA
Portland, OR
We only recorded one basic demo, but hopefully I will get off my arse/ass and finish some of the material soon. More shows in the future hopefully too. Watch this space....

Notable mentions:
* Various collaborations with my ex-Voorhees bandmate Gillham including noise improvisations with The Prestidigitators. Recordings exist. More in the future hopefully.
* Improvisational free jazz jams with West Caost drummer Andrew Wilshusan, some of which were recorded and exist somewhere.
* Played guitar for London based singer/songwriter Warren Polydorou, gigged in and around London.
* Many studio sessions in London, mainly acoustic and flamenco type stuff and experimental electric craziness.
